This is about ways to hack your mind for higher levels of productivity and how to elevate your mind for higher levels of performance. Before I cut to it the major life areas are covered below:
There are seven ingredients to success and they are as follows:
1) Peace of mind – this can only be achieved with love for humanity and a higher sense of purpose. You have to be in harmony with your your innermost convictions – your highest values – then and only then can you be happy.
2) Health and Energy – you have to see yourself lean and fit – healthy with lots of vitality.
3) Loving Relationships – you have to surround yourself with happy and relaxed family and friends – human beings that are happy and healthy. When there is laughter in a house it is an indicator that people have healthy relationships. Laughter is the surest single measure of a truly happy family.
The number one job of a successful executive is to be responsible for the harmony and happiness among people he or she is responsible for to create a climate of optimism, enthusiasm and high morale. A real “Esprit de Corps”pays off every single time
4) Financial Freedom – a prerequisite to success in life – as an example never having to look at the price of menu items in a restaurant – to be able to enjoy your life as you want. You must be able to answer the question of how much you want to be worth in one year, five years, ten years from today.
5) Worthy goals and ideals – it is important to have a clear sense of direction, a commitment to something bigger and more important than yourself. As Earl Nightingale said “Success is the progressive realization of a worthy goal or ideal.”
6) Self knowledge and self awareness – to perform at your best you have to know who you are and why you think and feel the way you do. You have to understand and accept yourself.
7) Personal fulfillment – self actualization. You have to become your own psychologist – this is the development of a fully integrated, fully functioning, fully mature human being.
The Seven Laws of Mental Mastery
Law of Accident – failing to plan is planning to fail, real genuine success demands that you have a system and that you are disciplined until you achieve your goals. You can reprogram your subconscious mind to think, feel and believe exactly what you want to experience and enjoy. All human beings suffer from constant thought streaming and it is your responsibility to control this and ensure is is operating for you in a positive and proactive way that is beneficial to you and the whole of humanity. It is important to stand guard at the door of your mind and not be swayed by advertising or the poor opinions of others.
The inputs are what is coming in – what we say, see, hear and listen to. There is a lot of internal input such as thoughts, pictures, imagination and feelings
Law of Control
Self control, self mastery and self control all begin with taking control of your thinking. Look at all areas of your life – where you do not have control you will find stress – what can you specifically do to get control in those areas of your life.
Law of cause and effect
Whatever you sow so shall you reap.
Law of Belief
I absolutely believe I will be a success
Law of Attraction
This is the principle of sympathetic resonance – what you want wants you! The more emotion there is attached to a thought the more powerful the outcome!
“Sow a thought you reap an act
Sow an act you reap a habit
Sow a habit you reap a character
Sow a character you reap a destiny”
Law of correspondence As within so without. Concentrate on being not doing!
Thoughts are things and everything has its mental equivalency. The aim is to be a skilled thinker. The idea is to major in major things that make a long term difference:
Quality of inner life – thoughts, feelings, peace of mind, be honest with your self “The truth will set you free”
The Master Program
Your thoughts determine who you are
[IA + AA] x A = IHP
Inborn Attributes + Acquired Attributes] x Attitude = Individual Human Potential
Epictetus “Circumstances do not make the man, they merely reveal him to himself”
“You are not what you think you are, but what you think, you are!”
You have to be clear what you self concept is which probably leads directly to your Identity – mine for example is
“I am an entrepreneur, a philanthropist, an educator and and advocate for the homeless and dispossessed”
A human being self concept consists of three things:
Self ideal – how you want to be seen
Self image – how you see yourself
Self-esteem – how you feel about yourself – this is where your sources of energy, enthusiasm, vitality and OPTIMISM stem from
Your self concept is fully completed by the time you are 6 years of age and is in large part down to the amount of love and life experiences that you have had that makes up how high your self concept is.
So much love withheld and criticism of a child is perceived as highly negative and has a detrimental affect on a childs self esteem. In essence if criticism does not improve performance, by increasing the individuals feelings of self-esteem and self-efficacy, then it has merely been a destructive act of self-expression carried out against someone who is not in a position to resist.
This is why in parenting it is important to always start a conversation with “I love you very much but in future don’t do this or that” Or for example “Next time why don’t you”
Also “I am not happy with this situation and would like to discuss how we could change it”
The main approach from a parent has to be calm, patient, supportive, sensitive, clear and constructive. Immediately cease all destructive criticism.
Always provide unconditional love – love based on pre-conditions or certain behaviours/actions creates a fear of rejection within a child. A fully integrated, fully mature and stable human being asks “What do I want” and “What will make me happy”
It’s important to note that the opposite of fear is love – to overcome day to day hurdles use the following formula “I love myself” a hundred times a day.
Human beings have a homeostatic impulse – kind of like an internal emotional thermostat which determines what they are comfortable doing. To excel a human being has to move out of their comfort zone.
Bad habits are easy to form; but hard to live with.
Good habits are hard to form, but easy to live with.
Human beings do things to gain pleasure/desire and to move away from pain/fear
As you experience thought streaming, keeping focused and using emotion to direct yourself based on your desires and what it is what you want to do. Say to yourself
“I want to change”
“I am willing to change”
“I am willing to make the effort”
Start a 21 day positive mental attitude
Practical application of your goals
- Visualise – see it in your minds eye – silva mind control technique and view it in your minds eye
- Affirm “I believe in the perfect outcome of every situation in my life”
- Feed your mind – books, magazines, seminars, CD’s, courses, journal writing, organised specialised knowledge, skills, access to people that are experts
- Teaching others – I will become what I teach
It seems to me there is quite a bit that can be done consciously but there is a major amount that has to happen unconsciously – you are using your mental powers to achieve your goals.
Conscious Mind – functions to identify, compare, analyse and decide
Unconscious Mind – functions to store, retrieve, commands to action, emotionalised
By going into your subconscious mind
Law of subconscious activity – All new things if worth doing are worth doing poorly until you can do it well.
Love with held can take place in many different ways – leaving Africa at a young age with so many issues as we were flown back and fourth until we were accepted in the UK. Leaving my Father and then separated from my mother at the age of 5 – a sense of abandonment. All criticism if it doesn’t improve performance by increasing the individual feelings of self-esteem and self-efficiency, then it has merely been a destructive act of self-expression carried out against someone who is not in a position to resist.
When talking to parents always feedback by pre-facing statements with the following:
“I love you very much” + feedback
Or “Next time why don’t you … ”
“What can I ado to help you in the future?”
The approach has to be calm, patient, supportive, sensitive, clear constructive
The best question one can ask is:
“What if I had the capacity to be really good in that area”
Conditional love will always make you unhappy – the real true empowering question for a fully functional mature human being:
“What do I want? What will make me happy?”
The opposite of fear is love – the best continuously useful daily affirmation is “I like myself”
Human beings base their lives on levels of comfort – there is almost like a homeostatic impulse – to really move froward one has to move out of ones comfort zone to something better.
Bad habits are easy to form; but hard to live with
Good habits are hard to form; but easy to live with
The reality is that although as humans we possess logic, rationality – in the end ultimately we are all emotional – the twin motivations of humans are pain and pleasure – to gain pleasure and to move away from pain.
Practical application of the above philosophy is as follows:
- Visualise your outcome
- Affirm – the desired outcome, I believe in the perfect of evert situation in my life
- Acting the part – take action, TAKE ACTION, DO IT
- FEEDING YOUR MIND – books, magazines, seminars, courses, CD’s, courses, journal writing
- Teaching others – because you will become what you teach
It’s easy to dwell, lose yourself in though and whenever this happens get back on track, stop dwelling and just say to yourself “I’m back”. How you see yourself – now that’s all that matters.
conscious mind – identify, comparison, analysis, deciding
subconscious mind – storage, retrieval, commands and emotionalisation
Law of subconscious activity – All new things if worth doling are worth doing poorly until you learn to do them well. “Visualisation and meditation – the brain vibrates like a pitch fork and will give you your desired outcome”
Law of concentration
Whatever you dwell upon grows – FOCUS. More is less and so the corollary applies LESS IS MORE
Law of substitution
Move fast from the problem to the solution. Focus on what you want to happen not on what has happened or what you might fear. Empowering questions are a good way to do this.
I have an intense personal desire for personal transformation. I trust and am patient that I am accumulating the knowledge and sills I need for the efforts ahead and will achieve my desired outcomes and gain the riches and desires I want.
Step 1 Verbalise – to affirm your desired outcome
Step 2 Visualise – get a clear mental picture of what the situation looks like
Step 3 Emotionalise – creating in yourself the satisfaction that would accompany the resolved situation
Step 4 Realization – the appearance in the outer world of your solution
Calm Confident Expectation
Desire Belief Expectation
“In tune with the infinite” Ralph Waldo Trine
The fastest way to achieve what you want is to write your goals down every hour – time will slow into that observable state and you will achieve your goals in a tenth of the time.
In essence a combination of the conscious thought process with these tools to utilise the subconscious will bring about miraculous results. Newton once said I achieved great success “by thinking of nothing else”
The master skill to success is the achievement of your goals. Human beings are teleological in nature – we are motivated by purpose. A human being needs clear goals and a plan to achieve them – plus a celebration process when they are a achieved.
spend the whole day dreaming about what you want – walking talking, thinking about nothing else and see the progress multiply. Think of affirmations such as these:
I must live more consciously. I must become more alert, more aware and more awake. I have taken control of my thought processes so that the combined power of the various mental laws is moving me in the direction of my own choosing rather than on autopilot.
Clear goals that are detailed into action plans that provide smart, accurate, realistic, timebound goals. To a high degree keep your goals confidential.
Superconscious Mind Operating Conditions
- Concentrating 100% on a problem or goal (consciously)
- Conscious mind is busy with something else
Step One Define problems or goal clearly in writing. Exactly what to achieve or exactly what is the problem.
Step Two Gather as much information as you can. Read, research and question as many people/experts as you can
Step Three Consciously try to solve the problem by reviewing all the information you have gathered.
Step Four Anything that is not solved consciously – turn over to your superconscious mind. Release confidently, like releasing a balloon, just let it go – let it float away.
Step Five Get conscious mind busy elsewhere. Turn attention away and let your superconscious mind take care of it for you.
Lastly once you have your answer act upon it immediately. The best way to stimulate your thinking and solution problem solving skills is to think about the problem all the time.
#2 Think about nothing else – sit an relax for an hour
#3 Visualise your goal as realised
Definite chief purpose in life
To feed, shelter, cloth and teach other human beings. To remove human suffering as a goal. To her a serial entrepreneur with a 100% track record in creating businesses that are successful, profitable, productive entities for humanity. To make a positive contribution to my country and help develop its political ideology.
To have an amazing Volleyball team that I am the captain of.
To be involved in space faring technologies and ensure their success. Creating successful medical universities that are portable around the world.
To create a
